Ashley Merrithew, B.Sc. Kin., BAHS (AT)
Ashley joined Salisbury Chiropractic and Rehab to provide Athletic Therapy services to both the active and general population. After completing a Bachelor of Science (Kinesiology) degree from Dalhousie University in 2010, Ashley went on to graduate with high honours from Sheridan College, where she received her Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences (Athletic Therapy) degree in 2013.
During her time at both Universities, Ashley gained multiple years’ experience working in both the field and clinical setting, which has given her the skills needed to care for athletic as well as the everyday injury. Her passion for hockey has led her to be the Therapist for several hockey teams at the University, Jr. A, and AHL levels. She strongly believes in the prevention of injury, and in quickly and safely returning all patients both mentally and physically back to their pre-injured state and beyond.
Ashley appreciates the importance of evidence based research, and is dedicated to continually developing her skills as an Athletic Therapist so that she can offer the highest quality and most effective treatment for her patients. Her out-going and energetic personality creates an environment in which patients will not only feel the physical benefits of Athletic Therapy, but they will also enjoy the path of helping their bodies attain their full rehabilitative potential.
